We pride ourselves on the ability to provide the very best Handymen in the industry. Accordingly, our Handymen are carefully vetted to ensure the highest standards. As testament to our stringent checks and high standards, we currently provide services to Local Borough Councils, City Banks and other Financial Institutions. Some of the checks we undertake prior to hiring any new Handymen include:
- Immigration Status (rights under the Employment & Immigration Act.)
- Work Experience (minimum of two years)
- Languages (level of fluency in English)
- Reference Checks
- Fixed Addresses
- Police Checks (if required/requested)
Happy Hands are members of the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) and our staff have a variety of qualifications including Corgi and City & Guilds in Refrigeration, Electrical Maintenance & Telecommunications.
To maintain the best service, we constantly monitor our Handymen’s performance. Feedback from our Clients and our Handymen helps a great deal but we also carry out spot checks as part of our ‘Quality Assurance’ to ensure that our Clients, but also our Handymen, are happy.
As a precaution, and in the unlikely event of property damage or sustained injury, Happy Hands is insured for Public and Employment Liability (£1million indemnity). All our Handymen also carry Third Party Damage Insurance.
How do we recruit the best Handymen? It’s not easy… we interview hundreds of potential applicants, with only a very small percentage ultimately achieving registration with the Agency.
All our Handymen are experienced, reliable, trustworthy, presentable, hardworking, honest and happy… because if our Handymen are not happy, it will show in their work.
